Angela Dao

Angela Dao is the Director of Product for Maternity at Maven Clinic, where she leads the strategy and development of AI-powered solutions that make pregnancy care more proactive, personalized, and outcomes-driven. With over a decade of experience building first-of-their-kind, machine learning-enabled products, Angela has led product and engineering teams across the healthtech, fintech, and AI sectors.

Before joining Maven, Angela was the Head of Product at Unlearn.AI, a Series C company redefining clinical research through AI. She led the development of products and machine learning models that generated digital twins of patients, cutting lengthy trial timelines and reimagining how new therapies reach patients. She also co-founded Stellar AI (YC S22), an AI platform that leveraged natural language processing to help teams align strategy and execution.

Earlier in her career, Angela was a product leader at Affirm, where she launched and scaled consumer credit and in-store payment products, including work recognized in a pending U.S. patent (US 20240193681 A1) for applying machine learning to optimize transaction approvals and risk prediction. She was also a founding product manager at Earnin, the startup that pioneered the earned wage access category, where she led the development of machine learning models for real-time credit underwriting.

Angela is passionate about using technology to solve complex problems and create intuitive, evidence-based experiences that improve outcomes for individuals and families. She holds a degree from the University of California, San Diego.
